An Act Of Kindness

This morning was sort of unusual for me I left out of the house early to pick up My drycleaning ( I have this gathering to go to ) I had to do it early because of My schedule later in the day. got to the cleaners picked up my clothes and got back in my car I was almost ready to leave when I got a voice mail message beep on the cell.
I had left the phone in the car while I was in the cleaners. well, I put the car back in park to see who it might be before I went to do any other errands. it could have been as simple as " bring home some milk or catfood whatever, I just wanted to know who it was. well, while checking my messages an older guy knocked on my car window scaring the "Bejesus" out of me 'cause I didn't see him Coming.
A second after calming down I cracked my window when he said through the crack; " excuse me sir but I think this may be yours it was lying next to your car and I thought you'd like to have it back." he raised his hand and sure enough it was a wallet.
my wallet !!!!
I was so thankful at that point I said well... THANK YOU ! " No Problem " he replied. he then turned and walked into the cleaners to pick up his drycleaning.

I did the normal wallet check everything was there and intact. happy that I just dodged a huge bullet and not even finishing checking my messages the girl from the cleaners comes out towards the car shouting to me "sir i'm sorry we forgot to put this in with the rest of your order." it was
A vest I hadn't noticed missing. well that was not only the coolest thing. I didn't have to leave come back complain I wasn't broke I still had I.D. and basically had the luckiest morning that I could recall in a long time.

I guess that brings me to my point. these people that I encountered this morning were little guardian angels they exhibited random or maybe not so random acts of kindness that allowed me to have a great morning and set the tone for my day and as you can imagine I was in a good mood after all that happened. I would hope that during our lives we extend the same kindess to others I have before and I have recieved what just might have been my karmic payoff. More than that it's just nice
to know that you may help someone out and maybe save their day with an act of kindess.

The Thinker...

One of the things that I think about a lot is what would I be doing a year from now and have I planned well. I wonder if I would have done all the things I wanted to do. All the things I needed to do in order to be happy. I don't Know if what I want is actually what I need or if what I need is actually good for me. I do know this though, I want to be happy and I want those around me to have everything that they need.

My Previous post was edited

KISS THE COOK

one of the first things I remember about my early life, my life as a youngin' was my mom's kitchen it always seemed to smell so good in there. one time she was making gravy and it smelled like a full 3 course dinner was going on in there but she was just throwin' it together to go with some biscuts she had already made. My mom was the type of mom who could produce meals from nothing or with very little. she seemed to know things about what foods go together well and why. maybe it was 'cause she grew up on a farm. watching my mom from my early childhood
is the reason I even became interested in cooking. I envy and admire people who can do what she did and sometimes it's a thankless job. It becomes routine in the face of domesticity. So be kind and Kiss the cook or at least ( if it's a he instead of a she, if you care about that sort of thing ) shake his hand, say thank you. Being able to produce a good meal with the simplest of ingredients or with next to nothing is a skill. Making it taste good too is magical.

That's a catchy Tune....

Words, music and life the elements of My existence. My Joy, My Pain, My confusion
But also some of the things that make life interesting and Enjoyable.

words that help or hurt
Music that uplifts or Illustrates your downward spiral becomming company for your sadness. The mundane every day stuff that can garner a laugh or give you the Ocasional headache. I will talk about it all maybe not as articulately as some but as genuine as anyone. that's all for now I'll see you around the Blogger pages. ~Nex
